The following classroom project was done to create a print collection for Home furnishings.
Studying the upcoming trends for the following year, I took terrazzos as my inspiration. This Italian flooring material is made out of chunks of marble, granite, quartz mixed in concrete and can be seen in old Indian households and it's demand surged recently both in Interiors and Design.
The randomness in forms and a variety of colors that are available in the material drove me to use its visual characteristics in my exploration of prints.
